So I found this video and decided to share- our dear bishop told us to try out this valentines date night thing for engaged/married couples at the institute building. We were a little wary but I sort of told him I would go and so we decided we would slip in and if it was awful we could just slip out. It ended up being more of just dinner than a Relationship Seminar. There was some serious people watching. Serious people watching. All really nice people- especially the whole table who asked us 5 times if we wanted to come to their overflowing table of 12 because we were sitting alone even though there was absolutely no way we would have fit. Hahaha My favorite comment of that night was when a guy came up to introduce himself - (since we declined his seating invite) and asked Tony what his heritage was. He didn't feel the need to ask me. My "ancestors" hail from California and Provo! Great crowd there. Anywho, here is the video- mostly I just want people to hear the background saxaphone music. Definitely the BEST part of the evening.

God bless Jonah!
We went to the ReAL game this weekend thanks to Groupon we got a knapsack too. We are just so lucky. We got to sit third row and watch them win, which is always an added bonus. We had some great people watching- we sat next to Wormtail from harry potter- yes, I took a picture. No, I can't post it as I feel like a horrible person. But I do have some that I'm willing to share. Also Extreme Makeover Home Edition was there for a little guy name Jonah Gomez who needs a bone marrow transplant. I thought that was awesome. Mostly because we were at the game when Jonah was on the field singing with David Archuleta and he stole my heart right then and there. I love this little kid and I hope that they find a match for him.
God bless Jonah!

Princess Festival/ Afton Recital
Afton had her year end dance recital on Friday. She was a star. I love at the end of this little clip when she puts her arms up in a diagonal and does it so dramatically. She is the third on from the left.
So let me tell you... this was an interesting day. It was hot, danielle is pregnant, my part got burnt, we fell asleep at every show, but afton and granny really loved it. We got some great photos though.
and I also caught a video... if anyone knows the people in this video... i apologize. This was a very nice young man who was so great with the kids but bless his heart he sounded like he was going through puberty when singing. Danielle almost peed her pants and paula of course was scolding us.

How to have a good bday
yesterday was great! I had probably the worst birthday ever last year (no fault to anyone) and I won't lie I am a little scared of the day after the last two years when I ended up with my head in the toilet. And I wasn't getting a swirly. I took the day off of work and Tony was so great to do the same. The day before at work my parents, Danielle and kids, Amanda & Tatum all came and brought me lunch.
On my actual bday this is how the day went... perfection. My parents woke me up to go on a little walk/run and we headed to Tony's house. When we got there they turned around and started home... I decided I wanted a ride home. Tony gave me my presents which were new headphones since I destroyed mine in my purse and a necklace that I happened to mention that I wanted once when we were shopping. Look at him listening to what I want!! I was so surprised and delighted as we like to say as we touch lives here at work. It was so great! I love that guy! Then we all headed to Hagermanns and my parents treated us to an all you can eat french toast breakfast... yum! We stopped at Nordys to exchange and I got to see Julie who gave me a really nice donut .... no idea where it came from right julsie? ;)
Then it was off to the temple. I asked my dad if he would like to come and baptize us. This was seriously a highlight of the day. My dad has not been to the temple with me and the last time I was in the font with him was when I was 8. Big Tony is an emotional guy as you may know, despite his size. When it was my turn he started crying, then I started crying, then everyone was crying. (I think, my eyes were closed) but it was so so wonderful. I couldn't ask for a better moment with my dad.
The day just kept being so fabulous... then we headed to the dollar movie and afterward we went to Baskin Robbins. Tony got a good laugh at me when I didn't realize I had chocolate in the crease of my chin and had no idea. I guess I just got a little excited and shoved it in my face and forgot how tiny my mouth is. But it was so delicious!! We just ate our cones on the curb outside the shop and enjoyed the heat. It was the perfect weather!
Then we went home and showered and got ready for our engagement pics to be taken. It was a great time and I am so glad we didn't have any rain or wind. It worked out wonderfully! We should have the pics next week and I will post some.. I think they will be great! For dinner Tony let me have my favorite Jamaican "delicacy" Bun an' cheese. I love it. I love it a lot.
And last but not least I had a wonderful surprise today when I came into work. I always talk about how I want a fancy nancy bday party (childrens book for those of you who are lost) and I found this.... at my desk when I came in....with an email from Jim including our superhero versions of ourselves! I love it. All of it!
Thanks everyone who wished me a happy birthday! I had a great one thanks to those I love!

Weekend willies
This weekend we got to go to Tony's extended family reunion at Sugarhouse Park. Some good food, company, and a good game of volleyball. Me being the fabulous volleyball athlete that I am, decided to sit it out. I did get some funny shots while on the sideline. Like this one of Curtis who couldn't decide if he wanted to keep this shirt or exchange it for a smaller size and WOULD NOT take off the tag. haha he kills me!
Earlier that day was the Cranberry Hill garage sale and Pat was trying to make us sell the stair-stepper. Another silly Curt moment... see for yourself.
Also that day I got to go to a wedding shower for my dear Whitney Norton who is getting married next week! Let me just say that every shower I go to I learn a lot. and it is freaking me out. Better to be a little prepared right? ;)
And last but not least we had some visitors this Sunday as Shane was out of town. Jimmer and the crazy fairy princess.
SOOOOOO excited to have birthday time off with the tonester tomorrow!!!! If you don't know, now you know.
