Catch up

We had a great Christmas and were able to see both families which is a nice perk of living so close.

Baby is moving all over the place now and Tony finally got to feel him kick.

That's all I feel like writing. So here is the baby bump if you missed it.  Merry Christmas.

This is funny

Not everyone thinks this is funny but I think it is hilarious.  It's twenty seconds for one great shot of a funny kid.  May you have a sense of humor if you choose to watch it.  And it is a commercial so don't miss it by thinking it is the commercial before the video.

Mini Man Messam

So we weren't supposed to find out the gender of the baby for a few more weeks.  We could have gone to fetal photo a few weeks ago but they are just too darn expensive and magically I was ok with waiting... until the nurse said the Dr could probably tell you the sex today.  I was sold.  I didn't really give Tony a choice on if he wanted to wait. So the Dr came in and the umbilical cord was in between the legs and so we had a few moments of suspense while he tried to move him around... yes.. HIM.  It's a little Man Messam.
Mama was right.  I knew it was a boy from the night before I took the test.  Granted there is only a 50/50 chance of being right/wrong.  So excited to meet this guy.  We are thinking William for the name.
We also had Tony's birthday last week.  The big 27!  I thought I was being so so sneaky by setting my alarm at 5:30 to get up and leave a little birthday surprise before he got up for work.  To my dismay he woke up to use the potty at 5:25.  So I waited until 5:55 and held my hand in front of his face to see if he was asleep.  He didn't notice so I thought he was sleeping... apparently he was not.  I turned on the shower and quickly tried to decorate silently before getting in.  He heard the whole thing.  What a good sport not to peek!
High class decorating
I pre-ordered Halo 4 and got him some favorite treats to take to work and this fart machine with a remote since his Pooter fart one broke.  That sounds really inappropriate.  I didn't name it... but alas the fart machine is haunted and kept going off when no one was touching it and so we had to take out the batteries and it didn't even sound real anyways.
After work we went to get some sushi!  We love sushi!  Don't worry I only ate a tempura one that the Dr approved.  And I very sneakily made the cake below the night before while Tony was at school.  I put it in the lower oven to cool off but I knew he could smell it when he walked in.  He told me later he tried to find it but couldn't.
The next day we celebrated with family and Pat and Mel took us all to Golden Corral followed by some eating of cake.

me crying zombie tears
Feel so lucky to have this silly guy all to myself.  We have lots of fun together. Can't wait to grow our family in April!

Really excited for thanksgiving since I have maternity pants aka turkey eatin pants

Halloweenies

We had a fun Halloween with all our favorite kiddos.  Amanda, my mom and I took Clover and Tatum to Gardner Village for lunch and a quick view of the witches as nap time came too soon.  We got a lot of good exercise chasing those ones around!

We made a quick stop at Tony's work and then headed to Danielle and Shane's for a delicious dinner and some trick or treating followed by the jazz game... and some yummy treats the kids didn't notice were gone.
We decided to be Mario and Luigi and I thought a men's costume would be long enough... don't mind the  wedgies.
Baby Kelton never woke up the whole time we ate dinner at Danielle's  but we sure love just looking at him .

This picture kills me of Tatum trying to tell Afton something really important.

After the prego people couldn't walk any further we came back with Mack and watched him throw the ball with Bumpa for a long time and laughed so hard.  That boy has got a good arm and will even look somewhere else and still throw it right to you.

He got Bumpa in the face a few times.
Love Halloween and now I can't wait for Thanksgiving!  Hope you had a fabulous holiday!

4 weeks til we find out the gender of Mini Messam!

Some things

GREAT news!  After an anxiety filled morning I did not throw up at the dentist when getting my teeth cleaned!! and despite the gallons of sprite I have had the last three months I had NO CAVITIES!

Next wednesday I get to go to the DR with my mom and finally hear the heartbeat!  Do I have anxiety that there might not be one... always.  But everything seems to be going well and I really can't wait to meet this peach sized babe. I am 13 weeks tomorrow and will be exiting the first trimester.  Crossies that this sickness phase will be ending with it. please, please, please. Although it is an excellent time of year to not like candy.

Tony started his new job and the building is really nice.  That's all I've seen.  Lots of cool perks. Maybe I'm a little jealous.

My cute friend Emily just became a new mom and still had time to send me a little prego package with peppermint candies to help with nausea (gone in three days) and some stretch mark lotion.  she's the best.

Little Harvey came 6 weeks early and only had to spend 1 week in the NICU!  Kim and Robert are the cutest parents ever and I'm so excited for them.

Update

Good news everyone.  I made dinner ... and Shane got seconds.  It's a big deal.  Kelsey I hope you are proud. Tortellini with sun dried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, butter, balsamic vinegar and some sausage.  yum!

I cried at work when I threw up a week ago but did appreciate the auto flush on the toilets since it took it away quickly before the next bit came back up. Other than that I have been feeling great except for at night... about every three hours lately I'm sitting by the toilet waiting for it to come back up.  Morning sickness is my night sickness... so long sleep.

We got to go to the temple dedication with Tony's parents and I would have loved to have seen it in person but I couldn't find anyone with time to make the journey... guess I will have to do it the legit way. Anyone want to come?

Tony starts his new job on Oct 1 and I'm pretty sure I'm more excited.  So proud of him for getting the job!  Yay for a raise!  Job interviews are not fun and he had to do multiple and so glad they liked him.  We are very blessed.  Now we just got to get through the next 6 months and the next few years of school and then all the other stuff that will happen in life......

No pictures... just got a new phone and haven't taken any but those who give me crap about too many pics on fb and insta will appreciate.

have a nice time,

Mini Messam

Yep! We are popping out a baby in April! If you couldn't tell I love kids and babies and have always aspired to be a mama.  Because of some of my "irregularities" I thought I would have a really hard time getting pregnant so when I took 5 tests at 3 AM a few weeks ago I still couldn't believe it.  I woke Tony up and he was out of it and said he wished I would have waited til he woke up so he could have actually been awake... oops.  After a few LONG weeks of waiting we finally got to see the dr yesterday for our ultrasound.  I kept telling everyone "I'm so worried that there won't be anything in there and I'm just crazy" so when the DR ripped off the pic and handed it to me he said "Proof!" It still seems surreal and I just mostly feel like I have the flu so that's what my mind thinks too. Seeing that "glorified peanut" on the screen and watching the heartbeat definitely made it real.  It just seemed to happen too easily so I feel really really blessed!  We are good with whatever sex the baby is we just hope everything goes well and we have a healthy baby.... but I would put money on it that it is a boy.  It's weird, I just know.  And in case you forgot... the digital child I creepily made when Tony and I first started dating... is now possibly a reality.
But here is what peanut actually looks like...
Baby is supposed to be the size of a prune (which is funny since it has the exact opposite effect as a prune) but I am measuring a little smaller. However my due date is still April 12!  We are so excited to grow this guy and to one day enjoy food again. I'm really crossing my fingers the baby doesn't have diabetes from all the sprite. And if you get pregnant and have stage fright... good luck peeing in a cup at the Dr's office every time.
When I first found out I was prego and hadn't started the nausea medicine I was quite miserable and my sister would say "every time you feel sick just think of how lucky you are that you have a body that can carry a baby because there are a lot of people who can't" so I feel extremely lucky to have this opportunity.

Thanks for all the well wishes- we are so blessed!

One Year

One year ago today I married this fabulous crazy man and made him the luckiest guy on earth... jk jk and we have been having lots of fun ever since.  Marriage is hard work but I think we are pretty good at it.  I'm so grateful to be stuck to Tony forever and all of our beautiful babies who will one day grace us with their presence. Chubberz

Chubberz had his first birthday!  I love this little guy and even though he mostly just loves his mom I still want to hold him all the time.  He had a monster themed party with monster cake that I loved.

Last Friday I took Mack home with me from work and had him until about 11 pm.  He came out to eat with us and was doing really well without mom.... until it was time for bed.  He is very particular about his swaddling with his special blankets (which Danielle forgot to give me) ... we tried a makeshift swaddle but within two seconds he was out of it... So he finally got tired enough that he would sort of lay on my shoulder so we just went around the house with the lights off singing songs.. and I had to laugh at how much I do not know the words to any song. He fell asleep and took my spot in the bed until about 10...so from 10 to 11 we just watched tv and he sat in my lap.  I totally thought he was asleep because he is the busiest body and was totally just holding still but when I got my camera out on my phone he had his eyes wide open.  So we just snuggled and watched the olympics until mom got there while Tony slept like a baby. I loved it. But I also loved going to bed after she picked him up. Sixes...not really. May you have a chubberz in your life.
