Celebrations

We have done lots of really great and fun things the last few weeks.  I went with my parents down to Happy Valley for my uncle Terry's surprise 60th party and then we headed over to Claire's for Summer's baby shower.  On the fourth of July we started with scones at the Messam's and then saw Spiderman and finished it off with a ReAL game and fireworks... one fuse thing came down from the sky and hit me in the head... only me in a sea of people.

That weekend we went down to Fairview for our annual Root Reunion.  Our numbers have dwindled and no thanks to the fires but it was still a great time.  We mostly just went swimming, napped and ate... my kind of vacation.

We have had a lot of really poopy crazy things going on in our lives and lots of stress so we decided that we should definitely be going to the temple and it was so nice to have a date there last Friday.

This last weekend we went up to Heber for my cousins Angie and Alyssa's bday celebration.  We all wrote down memories in a binder for each of them and then read some of them to the group and they were all pretty funny.  Then Sally had them go get their "birthday clothes" on and handed out chocolate cupcakes to all of us and said she is going to tell the memory of when they shoved chocolate cake on her face on mother's day one year and when she yells "it's payback time!" everyone needs to throw the cupcakes at them.... as we all suspected it backfired a little and Sally ended up with a black-eye looking face full of chocolate.  It was definitely fun to watch.  We had a little dance party afterwards and yummy food and then headed home.

And last but not least last Sunday we had a pleasant time at the Messam's as I lost repeatedly in croquet.  Dom was super nice and tried to get behind for a little to make me feel better but then he would pretty much win.  I kicked the ball when I got out and I'm pretty sure I broke my toe or did some nerve damage because it is still throbbing.  (not a sore loser just trying to get out of the way) aka don't kick a croquet ball.

I love all the fun people in my life and am so glad we live so close to everyone aka SHANE YOU CAN'T TAKE MY SISTER TO HEBER!

Summertime

We had a fun weekend with family and friends.  We went to Texas Roadhouse twice!! I love it there!  Todd and Jessica have been visiting for a month and we were able to have a fun dinner before they took off.  Saturday we had a fabulous time at Cowabunga Bay with almost my entire family.  Wasn't a huge fan of the place since they don't have a pool but it was fun with the kiddos.  And Danielle and I showed up in matching swimsuits... she hates it/me.  It was an accident.

Then we hit up Texas Roadhouse the second time with my parents.  Tony has this thing where he hates that when something comes flying at me such as a volleyball or really any object, instead of trying to catch it my first reflex is just to swat it away.  As we were leaving texas roadhouse he threw a peanut at me and I swatted it and it went flying into a booth.  Not as funny unless you were there but we were cracking up.
Then we ended the evening with Tatum at Jake and Amanda's.  She is HILARIOUS!

P.S. We finally finished reading the BOM together... I slept through most of it if I am being honest but we made it!
